【ニューヨーク＝伴百江】米経済誌フォーブスが29日発表した2014年の米国長者番付によると、米マイクロソフト創業者のビル・ゲイツ氏が資産総額810億ドル（約8.8兆円）で21年連続の首位となった。株高などを背景に長者番付400人の資産総額は2.29兆ドルと前年比2700億ドル増加し、人口約２億人のブラジルの国内総生産（ＧＤＰ）に相当する規模になった。
２位は著名投資家のウォーレン・バフェット氏（資産670億ドル）、３位はこのほど最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）からの退任を発表した米ＩＴ（情報技術）大手オラクルの創業者、ラリー・エリソン氏（同500億ドル）。上位３人の顔ぶれは昨年と変わらなかった。
若手では交流サイト大手フェイスブックのマーク・ザッカーバーグ氏が昨年の20位から11位に浮上。資産は340億ドルで前年比150億ドル増えた。ザッカーバーグ氏は30歳で番付最年少の一人だった。
